Jess Cohen

Jess is an Australian TVC, documentary, short film and music video producer and been based in Brooklyn NY since 2010. Her early career began at Andrew Denton’s production company; Zapruder’s other films on AFI and Walkley Award winning programs: Enough Rope, Hungry Beast and The Gruen Transfer.

In NYC she worked at the boutique creative production company Ghost Robot as the development producer. She worked with clients including Pepsi, Toshiba and Verizon and nurtured 2 x documentary films (Birth Story and A Love Letter For You) and a narrative feature film (First Winter) through the US domestic and international festival market.

Jess now runs a NY based boutique production company, Coco Collective and collaborates with the most esteemed NY production companies and advertising agencies to make TVCs and branded content with clients such as 21st Century Fox, American Express, Starbucks and Bacardi. She has also produced music videos for Guy Sebastian, Interpol and #1 Billboard artist Paramore. In addition, Jess produced two short films in a series for The Guardian featuring both Dan Henshall and Sarah Snook.

Jess most recently came back to Australian waters to Field Produce Plonk S2 (Nine Network) and to develop a new television concept at Channel 7. She then teamed up with the ABC and produced two new original series for iView; You Can’t Ask That and Hello Stranger.
